There are many people and organizations that have aided the effort to fight Pinkwashing. The following list of organizations is a limited one that only includes LGBT organizations that are based in the Global South and have had primary roles in the collaborations included in this research. The people listed are also a small portion of the leaders and scholars who have participated in Anti-Pinkwashing efforts.
Organizations
Al-Qaws was founded in 2007. It is a Jerusalem-based Palestinian LGBT organization that was founded in grassroots activism.
Aswat, the Palestinian Feminist Center for Gender and Sexual Freedoms, is a Palestinian local nonprofit organization that works to protect and advocate for Palestinian queer females. It was established in 2003, making it the first Palestinian LGBT organization.
PQBS is is a group of Palestinian queer activists who live in the Palestinian Occupied Territory and inside Israel, who came together to promote and stand for the Palestinian civil society call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel.
Pinkwatching Israel was launched in 2010 as a hub for information sharing on Brand Israel. It now works to create a global movement to promote queer-powered calls against Pinkwashing and pushing the Boycott, Sanctions, and Divestment Campaign against Israel to the forefront of the global queer movement.
Helem is the first LGBT rights organization in the Arab world. It was officially established in Beirut, Lebanon in 2001 and has continuously supported Palestinian queers.

Haneen Maikey
Haneen Maikey is a Palestinian queer community organizer. She is the co-founder of Al-Qaws and served as the Executive Director for 20 years until 2021. She also co-founded PQBDS.
Ghadir Shafie
Ghadir Shafie is a Palestinian activist and feminist who was born in the still-predominantly Palestinian city of Akka. She id the co-founder and Director of Aswat, the Palestinian Feminist Center for Sexual and Gender Freedoms, which is based in Haifa.

Sarah Schulman
Sarah Miriam Schulman is an American novelist, playwright, nonfiction writer, screenwriter, gay activist, and AIDS historian. She holds an endowed chair in Nonfiction at Northwestern University and is a Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities. She is a recipient of the Bill Whitehead Award and the Lambda Literary Award.
Jasbir Puar
Jasbir K. Puar is Professor and Graduate Director of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. She wrote the award-winning book Terrorist Assemblages (2007), where she coined the term “homonationalism.” Her most recent book is The Right to Maim: Debility, Capacity, Disability (2017).
