Theme 2: Creating a Blueprint for Ethnic Cleansing
This theme in our pilot study consists of a curated set of documents that tells an important story during the post-Cold War era. In this case, we have selected key documents that explain the development of the main Bosnian Serb political party, the Serb Democratic Party, and the evolution of its politics from the first multiparty elections in Bosnia in November 1990 until May 1992, when the Bosnian Serb Assembly adopted a set of strategic goals that laid the ground for institutionalized violence against ethnic minorities.
Each document is presented with annotated comments which intend to provide the reader with the context necessary to understand the document. The annotations are interspersed with excerpts of the original document in the original language (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, or BCS). By clicking on the excerpt, the translated text of the excerpt will appear in English. It is, of course, also possible to download the entire document, both in the original and in English translation
